My main research interests include the study of various aspects of speech prosody (prominence, prosodic boundaries) from a modelling perspective, as well as their use in speech technology applications and for low/zero-resource approaches.

I am currently investigating the role of prosodic boundaries and speech register in early language acquisition, by means of computational modelling. In particular, I am exploring the role these two factors play in word segmentation and to which extent they may help the segmentation process. I am interested also in differences between infant- and adult-directed speech and how they contribute to learning, at various linguistic levels (e.g. phonemes, prosodic phrases).
