Prosody and developmental diorders
The prosody of a language contains not only vocabulary information, but also complex nuances such as emotion and intention, and plays an important role in social communication.
Some people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) are known to have difficulties in understanding emotions and intentions within other people's speech, and to have unique expressions and utterances of their own. So I am interested in the characteristics of the prosody and language of people with ASD, from a perspective of prosodic phonology.
